Columbus State Students worked with Stratford Ecological Center in Delaware County by participating in the Ohio Campus Compact Pay It Forward Project created the following video illustrating their experience with the program:
Ohio State University at Marion, a past participant in Ohio Campus Compact’s program, created Pay It Forward Marion which links students in six different English courses with area non-profit organizations. Students learn details about the importance of philanthropy, grant writing, volunteering, and fundraising through direct work with regional cause driven charitable organizations. English faculty from The Ohio State University at Marion and their students recently received a 2012 Ohio State Outreach and Engagement Impact Grant in the amount of $10,250 for their Pay It Forward Marion project. Baldwin-Wallace College Jacket Philanthropy Project students awarded $6,000 in grant funds to worthy community organizations, culminating the Spring 2012 academic service-learning program. Some 58 students provided more than 850 hours of service to 14 nonprofit organizations as part of three courses designed to include direct service to the nonprofits. Read more.
