Student Conference on Civic Engagement
Dream the Possible:
Strengthening Our Communities Through Service and Social Justice.
Student Engagement Conference Date: November 13 and 14th, 2009
Location: the Central Ohio Technical College / Ohio State University Newark campus in Newark, Ohio.
Who should attend: All students active in advocacy, volunteering, activism, service-learning, community organizing, campus organizing, or other forms of community engagement.
Campus staff and faculty who encourage and empower students in these roles should also attend to see the range of student leadership in community engagement across Ohio.
Format: The majority of workshop sessions and panel presentations will be led by undergraduate students active in community engagement. The keynote speakers are Randy Stoecker, Jimmy Rudyk, and Bryan Mauk.
Cost: $75 per participant
