VISTA Connect2Complete 2013-14

Ohio Campus Compact proudly announces that it received funding through the Corporation for National and Community Service to place 12 AmeriCorps VISTA members at Ohio higher education institutions to implement and/or support Connect2Complete program on their campus during the 2013-14 academic year.

The Connect2Complete program’s goal is to improve student retention and graduation rates of low-income and underrepresented college students through a unique combination of peer advocacy and community engagement activities.

Two Connect2Complete Peer Advocates, Keith Crossman and Sade Prater, graduate from Owens County Community College in 2013.

The following Ohio institutions of higher education have each been awarded at least one AmeriCorps VISTA member to develop and/or expand OCC’s C2C program:

  • Clark State Community College-Beavercreek Campus
  • Hiram College
  • Kent State University
  • Lorain County Community College*
  • Marietta College
  • Miami University Hamilton
  • Miami University Middletown
  • Owens Community College*
  • University of Akron
  • Washington State Community College
