Ohio Campus Compact AmeriCorps*VISTAs from around the state gathered in Dayton Ohio for a quarterly inservice meeting--which included direct service to the community. VISTAs spent an entire afternoon helping to unload and stock food donations at the Life Enrichment Center food pantry.

The Ohio Campus Compact VISTA Summer Associate program partnered with Lorain County Community College for eight weeks on a summer food justice program at Save Our Children, a nonprofit organization that works with youth from first grade through high school. The program focused on food justice and provided youth leadership opportunities that support academic excellence, artistic expression and leadership through service.

Ohio Campus Compact VISTA Summer Associate Shannon Corlett spins the composting bin at Stanard Farm, an urban garden in the heart of Cleveland. The Cuyahoga County Board of Developmental Disabilities uses the site for job training and produces produce for the public and Cleveland restaurants.
